Playing Together Can Change the World!
The Compassion Games are a powerful social tool designed to ignite, amplify, and catalyze compassionate action in communities around the world. By infusing the power of playfulness and compassion with the fun of friendly competition, the Games offer a unique way to strive together to serve each other, our own personal well-being, and the Earth.
Did you know that the original meaning of the word competition was “to strive together?” No one can lose the Compassion Games and as the more people play, the more people win!
There are several ways you, or a group of friends, can join and play in the Compassion Games! Learn more about some of the suggested Ways to Play below. You can also suggest a potential game by clicking here and completing this form!
The Global Compassion Games “coopetition” takes place annually in September. A coopetition means that we’re cooperating to compete not against one another but with each other. Find out more about the Annual Games during the 11 Days of Global Unity, a festival of compassion beginning on September 11, a National Day of Service, to September 21, the International Day of Peace!
Are you ready to become a Secret Agent of Compassion? You are just who we need. Join the International Kindness Team (IKT) and prepare to make the world a better place, one act of kindness at a time. Each day of the Compassion Games you will receive a mission for you to perform and, if you so desire to, you can submit a report about it on the Compassion Report Map. Come back to this page in the months leading up to the Global Compassion Games for more updates!
A service project is a fantastic way to grow a more compassionate world. Through positive interactions in our communities, we can motivate ourselves and others to manifest compassion in our lives and our communities. Taking concrete actions that benefit others is a wonderful way to do this.
The aim of the Compassion All-Stars is to recognize the compassion around us, to celebrate its practitioners and open our eyes to compassion’s power and diverse expressions. All-Stars are people who never tire in making us feel welcome and whole, who help make our communities and lives better in small but significant ways. Showing these people what they mean to our lives is the least we can do to thank them for inspiring us, and providing a sense of love, kindness, and belonging!
The Compassion Relays herald the Compassion Games: Survival of the Kindest, that are held in September. In the Relays, people do and share daily acts of compassion. The Relays can be played anywhere, anytime, by anyone! The Relays are for individuals and groups in any and all settings – schools and youth groups, multicultural groups, community groups, businesses, city leadership… Everyone is welcome to join in on the Compassion Relays!
