Stories of Compassion

Tell a Story. Submit your Stories of Compassion!

Has compassion changed your life? Have you had a past experience in your life of compassion that you’d like to share? Has an experience, large or small, during the Compassion Games illuminated compassion for you? Has a teacher or mentor shown you how to live or lead with compassion? Have you observed others take compassionate stands in their communities?

Stories are powerful. They give meaning and context to our world. Listening to and telling stories moves us to work together for a more compassionate world.

We heard from several of you in 2012, and we’ll be interested to hear new stories of compassion in 2013!

The Compassion Games: Survival of the Kindest 2013 will be collecting Stories of Compassion from our community to celebrate and acknowledge our strength. Stories will be posted here, as they were in 2012, becoming an online gallery of work.  We are encouraging stories that are told with text, video, photos, and audio, or a combination of these tools.

We will collect your stories between the dates of September 11th-September 21st, 2013. The stories may be of an event that occur during the games, or a past experience. Think about compassion in your schools, faith community or place of work. Think about people who have inspired you as an individual, or helped many people live more compassionately.

Details about where and how to submit a story will be forthcoming.
